Anyone could go to any length to help protect someone they love or someone they would want to be by their side. Jae Won wanted to be by Vincent side, he hadn't thought much about his family for the few weeks he has been here. It doesn't mean he doesn't love them, in fact he really does and could go the mouth of a shark just to protect and do anything in his power for them.
But the family love he had when he was growing up was no longer there and really didn't want to go back to such a family. He now has only Vincent and would love to know anything about him even if his love will not reciprocated, he wouldn't mind. At least he loved someone who didn't betray him.
This is the reason why he had been pressuring Vincent to know when his friend, Akwasi would be coming so he could prepare and also get to know more about Vincent from him. Though they are not exactly best friends from childhood but at least the three years thy have spent together counts.
As he was curious to know who the text notification came from, Jae Won quickly closed the little gap that was between them and peered over his shoulder to see who sent the text and what it says.
"Is that him" Jae Won repeated as he still peered over his shoulders to see the message Vincent hand received. Vincent stood up from where he sat that was the gazebo that was tiled beautifully which was adjacent to the mansion.
"Like seriously" Vincent said as he stepped back to maintain the gap that was about to be close up by Jae Won. Jae Won glared at Vincent who refused to disclose the content of the message and the sender. "Just fucking tell me already" Jae Won said as he switched back to being the good boy while smiling and would be twirling his hair if it was long.
Vincent sighed as he open the message that could put dispute among him and his friend. "It's him, he said he will be coming over tomorrow" Vincent said as he felt the bitter taste in his mouth. "Are you okay now?" said Vincent as he looked at Jae Won, if he had an invincible tail, it would be wagging like a dog which shows his excitement and joy. "It's gonna be fun" Jae Won said as he walked past Vincent who kept staring at Jae Won with that unexplainable feelings.
"Does he like him that much?" He asked himself in rhetorical question but answered it in his head any way. "Probably yes or not too much, I hope so".
As Jae Won was entering the living room, he heard two people talking and decided to listen in. As he stood there, he heard the familiar voice of Christiana and Wendell talking about Wendell's crush. "Oh this sounds interesting. I wonder who Wendell crush is?" He thought while he smiled grinning.
As he listen in, he overhead Christiana asking Wendell how far has he gone with his crush. But Wendell kept saying he is shy and could not confess even if he wanted to because he was afraid of rejection. Christiana roll her eyes "rejection is the first step of moving on from unrequited love" She said.
This got Jae Won thinking if he too should confess one day and get rejected, could he get over on Vincent 'probably not' he thought as he entered the living room cutting short Wendell and Christiana's conversation.
Christiana smiled at Jae Won while she climbed upstairs to go to her room. Jae Won too approached Wendell. "I didn't mean to pry but I overheard your conversation with Christiana" Jae Won said as he strode over and sat on the couch with smiles over his face.
"Are you that happy you overheard my conversation or something else? You seemed to be too happy for eavesdropping" Wendell said as he too went to sit beside Jae Won. They kept talking and laughing about something when Wendell asked "I like Isabella, Claudia's friend but she is older than me but I still want to confess even though there is a high percent chance I would be rejected. Can you help me?".
Jae Won's smiles broaden spreading to his whole body "of course, anything for you dear" he said "I am god of love" he continued. Jae Won moved a little closer to Wendell "but you are gonna have to invite her here tomorrow" Jae Won said. Wendell placed his hand and scratched the back of his head in a nervous way. "Why is that?" Wendell asked still scratching as if he had somehow been infected by dandruff in his short hair.
"There's gonna be a little welcome party for Vincent's friend, Akwasi. Do you know him?" He asked which Wendell nodded in agreement. "So this is your best chance to confess your feelings but first we have to let Claudia invite her friend over"Jae Won said as he run his hand around the back of Wendell in a comforting way. "I'm gonna go and tell Claudia" Jae Won said as he smiled brightly at Wendell and headed upstairs.
Jae Won managed to let Claudia invite her friend over. In his excitement he went and inform Wendell the first step has been done. He was curious what Vincent had been doing so he searched for him but couldn't. "Where the hell is he?".
As Jae Won had given up on the search of a grown man who knows the way around here more than him, he decided to roam around the mansion only to be met with one of the servant looking for something with a worried face. Jae Won kept watching her as she searched high and low for something she had lost and leaving no stone unturned. Jae Won approached her and asked what she was searching for.
The servant whose eyes was on the verge of tears almost burst out crying when she said about what she has lost. "I'm looking for a pen drive my daughter asked me to pick it up as she left it home for school. She said she has some important work on it and I've misplaced it". This time she could no longer hold her tears as it run down her cheek, a reminder of what her daughter could possibly lose because of her carelessness.
"Don't worry, I will help you find it. What's the color of the pen drive?" Jae won asked as he bend down searching for it. "Uuurm is white and it had some beautiful white boys drawn on it, oh and BTS is written on it" she said and Jae Won turned quickly at her 'don't tell me is the BTS I know' he thought as he helped searched frantically for it.
They searched for almost thirty minutes but the woman has no sign of giving up because she thought her daughter's life depended on it. Her daughter called her when she left for school to bring the pen drive on her study desk because she had forgotten to take it with her. She said she needed it around 2pm so her mother could bring it after her shift at 1pm so she could bring it to her at her University.
She really love her daughter and can't wait for her daughter to be what she wants to be most but the servant thought she is about to end her daughter's career before it even begins. With that thought she cried heavily as if she had been informed of the death of a loved one.
As she was crying, she heard a faint sound coming from the direction where the pool was. The servant followed slowly as if she would be attacked if she walks faster. As she got closer to the the pool she saw Jae Won holding the pen drive and smiling as if he had just done a chest compressions on someone who has regained consciousness when they almost drowned.
"See, I've found it. Is this what you were looking for?" He asked as he kept waving the pen drive at the servant whose face has now lightened up by the Jae Won and also the pen drive. "Where did you find it?" The Servant asked as she moved towards Jae Won to take a closer look at the pen drive. "I found it by the pool" Jae Won responded as he kept smiling like an idiot.
"Oh yeah, I was cleaning around the pool this morning. It must have fell off when I was busy working" she said as she heaved a big sigh of relief. "Thank you very much. May God bless you"she said while she started crying again. "Oh don't cry, we've found it. He said trying to console the servant.
Meanwhile someone was busy looking at the these two who was lost in whatever they were doing that they didn't realize Vincent was in the pool all along.
Vincent cleared his throat loudly grabbing the attention of the two people who one was crying and the other consoling.
Both the servant and Jae Won turned to look at the direction the sound was coming from and their gaze landed on Vincent broad chest displaying to the world.
Jae Won almost choke on his words but he managed to come with few words
"What…. I've been looking for you. And this is where you are?" He said.
