"Nice to meet you too" Akwasi said as he turned to look at Jae Won who was busily eating his food as if he has been starved for eternity. "Oh relax, the food is not running away from you" Akwasi said as he chuckled. Jae Won turned to look at him and couldn't help but comment on his handsomeness. "Wow, you are handsome when you scold" he said and this time Vincent heard him.
Hearing that he thought Jae Won is going all in with his flirting and couldn't help but felt sad making him drink all the wine in the glass. He glared at Akwasi who was busy laughing at what Jae Won had said not thinking bad about his comment. "You are beautiful too" Akwasi said.
He realized he said beautiful instead of handsome he laughed out loud grabbing all the attention to himself. Charles couldn't help but comment "what's making you laugh out so hard like that?". He had been curious to know what they've been talking about and couldn't help but wonder if Akwasi likes Jae Won.
"It's nothing, I ended up saying beautiful instead of handsome" Akwasi said as he still finds it funny on why he did that without realizing it. "Oh yeah, he is beautiful" Vincent and Charles both replied as they turned to look at each other.
Samuel who had seen those two couple moments couldn't help but cleared his throat, they all turned to look at him. "You've been quiet this evening" Mr Jonathan asked as he swirled the wine in a circular motion allowing it to coat the side of the glass.
Samuel raised his eyes to look at his father and back to his food "it's nothing dad, just watching the show" he said as he knew what was happening at this party.
Gloria who had been quiet all along was busy putting her plan in use. As Akwasi and Jae Won were busy talking and giggling, Jae Won hadn't been paying attention to his phone. Gloria took the phone lying on the table without anyone noticing.
She immediately installed a malware on Jae Won's phone and in the next few minutes, she was done and acted holy sitting as quietly as she can. Gloria is good with IT and that's what she studies at school so hacking a phone is the least she could do.
She had received an award through her grade school till now when it comes to technology and she still are. What came over her to hack Jae Won's phone, no one knows but with this hacking she will get to know Jae Won secret in the future and leads him into troubles.
After an hour, the little party came to an end as the laughter and warmth emanating from the table died along with the party ending "we thank you all for coming, even though it's a few minutes. You've brought smiles in here and we loved it" Mrs Gladys said as she drank the last sip of wine in her glass.
Since it was late, they all had to sleep over. Akwasi would be sharing room with Charles and Isabella and Gloria would be sharing a room .
Now it's time for Wendell to get courage and confesses his feelings for Isabella. He watched Isabella with his side eye after he came back from the excuse of the washroom. In the washroom, he practiced his lines he would used to confess to Isabella and could say it perfectly as an actor who had been given a script.
After the party, he watched Isabella and Claudia walked shoulder to shoulder as they entered the living room. After a while, he managed to gather his courage and entered the living room where he saw Isabella and Claudia watching TikTok from Claudia's phone.
He stood by their side for a while before he cleared his throat to get their attention from the videos they were watching and laughing about it.
As they all turned to look at him he lowered his head a little and breathe in and out for a second, he raised his head looking directly into Isabella's eyes without blinking "I want to you about something" he finally muttered but had to repeat what he said.
"Can you come outside with me, I want to talk to you about something" Wendell said it out loud. And after, both Claudia and Isabella exchanged glances and talked with their gaze as in
"Do you know what he wants to talk to me about?" while Claudia's gaze responded "like hell would I know".
"Okay" were the words Isabella said as she couldn't think of anything Wendell would want to talk to her about.
She followed Wendell as he walked through the back door of the living room and walked through the beautiful gardens and only stopped when they got to the pool.
Wendell turned to look at Isabella whose face is written confused and curious at the same time. "Urrm, I…eeer.." stammered Wendell who has now lost his lines he had practiced for a while.
"What is it?" Isabella asked as she is getting worried for him now. She knew Wendell doesn't really talked much and the fact that he wants to talk to her and not his siblings made her mind wander far.
She moved a little closer to him, placed her hand on his head to check if he is injured "are you being bullied in school?" Isabella asked with so much worried on her face. Wendell shooked his head in disagreement "then what is it?" She asked.
"It's just that" Wendell paused and heaved a sigh so high that it could wake up an elephant who is asleep for years "it's just that I like you so much and I want to tell you how I feel about you" finally Wendell confessed to Isabella who in her lifetime didn't guessed someone she thought of as a little brother would confessed to her.
As she kept processing and thinking about what she had just heard, Wendell too had lowered his head down and closed his eyes so firmly as if he could see ghost coming towards him.
After he waited for a while with no response, he was about to run off "wait" this is when Isabella caught his hand, moving closer to him "I'm sorry, but I don't feel that way for you. In fact I think of you like my little brother I don't hav…. I'm really I'm sorry" she said as she let go of the hand she caught when Wendell was about to run off.
"It's okay, I already knew your answer. I just wanted to tell you how I feel. Someone once told me, conf….never mind. Thank you for making me feel such way and making me know how liking someone can makes you feels so good" Wendell said as he lowered his head "can you not please tell Claudia?" Wendell asked her.
"Of course not, I wouldn't do that" Isabella assured him making him relieved as a burden has been lifted off his head. He left Isabella after he thanked her for the last time.
Meanwhile someone was spying on them. Claudia who couldn't get over her curiosity as to why her brother wants to talk to her friend instead of her, his sister.
Claudia thought he was being bullied at school as Isabella had thought too so she followed them secretly and boom here she is spying on both her friend and brother. Claudia's jaw dropped open widely as she couldn't believe her ears when she heard the confession of her brother.
'Did I hear it correctly' she asked herself in her thoughts but upon hearing her friends answer she now believed what she actually heard. She secretly run off before she was caught by them since Wendell didn't want her to know about her little confession.
Isabella left the pool side and joined Claudia who immediately went back to the living room and continued watching TikTok as if nothing had happened.
On the other hand, Gloria had managed to get hold of Jae Won. They've been talking for a while at the gazebo where they had their party. Vincent, Akwasi and Charles went upstairs to continued their fun while Jae Won was stuck with Gloria.
"Why have you been ignoring my messages?" Gloria asked as her eyes were little teary. Her magic bullets she used often to manipulate people. Jae Won turned to look at her only to be met with that teary eyes and couldn't help but felt bad.
"It's not my fault, I hardly use the phone as I'm stuck with Vincent from day to night. He keeps me entertained to the extent I sometimes forget I have a phone". He went ahead to prove she is not the only one.
"So as Charles, I don't mean to ignore any one message, it's just th….never mind. I will try as much as possible to reply your messages whenever I can" Jae Won said as to not hurt her further more.
"Can I leave now? They are waiting for me upstairs to play a game" he said, he didn't even wait for a reply as he was already far from Gloria.
"You text me whenever you want. I will reply you" he said as his disappeared figure was no longer seen.
Gloria heaved a huge sign
"He wants me to use my other side to win him over" she said as she smiled slyly.
