Two days ago, at Gloria's home. Gloria had been texting Jae Won anytime she gets but don't always received reply as fast as she wanted. She decided to concoct another plan to to be able to gain access in Vincent's mansion. She knows she is not like by that family and their hatred for her is justified as what she did almost made them lose their son but she didn't care.
Who she wants now is Jae Won and she would go to any lengths to have him. Even if that will cost her to be thrown into a dungeon, she will gladly oblige.
After chatting Jae Won continuously and and sometimes she receives no reply made her think twice. She knows her little sister is friends with Claudia and they do chat a lot and she does get invited by them more. What she did was to observe her sister phone whenever she can and was willing to hack it.
Luckily for her it didn't keep long till an opportunity fell right in her face. The next day, she has been monitoring Isabella phone anytime she look away.
Isabella left her phone on the coffe table and went to the bathroom to ease herself when she received a notification. Unfortunately for her, Gloria knew her passcode no matter how many times she changes it.
Gloria took the phone and found out he has been invited for tomorrow little welcome party for Vincent's friend. She knew Akwasi but hasn't really talked to him much. After Gloria saw the message, she made plans for an outfit she could wear to attend the party.
She knew if she had just followed Isabella, she could be sacked so she managed to get hold of Jae Won. She called him so many times until Jae Won picked her call. Gloria acted as if she had no prior knowledge and manipulate Jae Won into inviting her that morning Akwasi was supposed to come.
Now after Isabella returned from school and dressed up to go when she noticed she was being followed. She turned and here she was, her almighty sister "what are you doing?" She asked anger clearly showing on her face. "I'm going to where you are" she replied with a dangerous smirk on her lips.
Isabella walked a few strides and turned back at her "but you aren't invited so bac.." she was cut short by Gloria's respond "of course I've being invited. How was I supposed to follow you confidently" she said.
Isabella shook her head in disbelief and went out of the main gate. "You would have even if you were not invited" Isabella said as she took out her phone to see where the Uber she had ordered was.
Searching for her car, she heard a honk coming from a black SUV and knew it was from Claudia. Isabella went closer to the car and peeked her head to take a look at the driver before she entered. "Hi Isa, young madam asked me to pick you up" said by the driver who suddenly frowned when he saw Gloria.
He eyed her for long "she said she was invited by Jae Won" Isabella said before the driver avert his gaze from Gloria at the back seat back to the road and off they went to the mansion.
On ther hand, Vincent is so pissed he hasn't returned to the living room yet. "Wouldn't you go and pamper him" Akwasi said turning to look at Jae Won who was not bothered by Vincent's reaction just some minutes ago. "He will come back when he is okay" Jae Won said.
"Okay then I'm gonna go console my friend" Akwasi said as he stoop up from the couch and walked through the back door to search for his friend.
He searched for a while before he saw him sitting by the pool with his leg playfully kicking the water. "What did she actually do?" Akwasi asked but was ignored. "Okay then, whenever you are ready, you can tell me but please can you not be this angry".
Vincent is more pissed not only at Gloria's invitation but he knew it's either he was manipulated by her and the fact that the person Jae Won likes might not like him back. Which is a one hundred percent fact and the person who likes Jae Won would go any length to have him made him so angry he didn't understand why.
Vincent managed to come down for a while when one of the servants came to inform them dinner/party was ready. Vincent didn't need to be at the kitchen as he has taught Beatrice some Korean dishes they both learned online.
In few weeks time, Vincent would leave for school and Beatrice had to prepare Jae Won's food so she had to learn. They both stood up and went straight to where the party was held to have dinner and also their party.
After they got close to the gazebo, Vincent took out his phone to text Charles and ask where he was or if he could make it to the party. Hell yeah, even if he couldn't, he will find ways to come meet his crush.
After Vincent texted but didn't get a reply, he knew Charles might not make it. They all sat down around the table at the gazebo where they heard panting sounds coming from ther back. They all turned to look at where the sound was coming from and if it happens for them to run for their life, they won't hesitate to do so.
"Ah, there you are. You almost didn't make it" Mrs Gladys said as she walked up to Charles who had bend down catching his breath. Mrs Gladys started rubbing at the back of Charles "son, you shouldn't be running like that. You could come here whenever you want" she said as she helped Charles up while they walked to the dinner table.
This time, the servants were not seated by their side. They too were having their party at the dining table at the dining hall. Most of them has leave for their various homes leaving a few of them.
"Son, come sit by my side" Mr Jonathan said gesturing at the empty seat on his right. "Thank you" Charles respectfully said as he walked slowly to take the seat while he stole glances at Jae Won who looked especially beautiful this evening.
Charles wanted to sit by Jae Won's side but Mr Jonathan had to destroy his plans. Meanwhile, Claudia couldn't help but stare at his prince who is seated next to her. Mr Jonathan wants to have him as his son in- law but they are not fond of an arranged marriage.
They could only wish but that would depend on both of them if they want to be together. They prayed and started their little party with talking, laughing permeating from the party.
On the other hand, Wendell plans to confess his feelings to Isabella even though the percentage he could be rejected was 99.99% but he wants to so he doesn't regret in the future. He kept glancing over at Isabella who was seated next to Claudia and him next to her.
This is making his heart beats faster because this is the first time they have sat so close to each other. If Wendell doesn't run away to his room the moment Isabella comes around, he would be spying at her at a location no one will see him.
Christiana on the other hand could see Wendell would love to vanish this instant and he could barely eat the delicious meal in front of him. She was sitting opposite of Wendell so she had to use her leg to get Wendell's attention to her by kicking him under the table.
"Relax and eat" she mouthed at Wendell the moment she grabbed his attention but Wendell could no longer be save as his palpitating heart kept increasing and had to run off claiming he is going to the washroom.
Akwasi and Jae Won kept giggling about something grabbing both the attention of Charles and Vincent. Charles was curious and would love to join their conversation but the distance was too much. Vincent too had no idea why they kept giggling when they are seated next to each other.
Mr Jonathan decided to break the curiosity of those two by talking "uuurm Akwasi you haven't met Charles" he said as he sip his favorite wine before clearing his throat.
He pointed at Akwasi "Charles, meet Akwasi, Vincent best friend. They met in school and Akwasi meet Doctor Charles". He said as he changed the direction of his pointed finger from Akwasi to Charles "He saved Jae Won's life when they took him out of the beach and paid all the hospital bill" he finished his introduction and went back to his dinner.
They both looked at each other "nice to meet you" as they said it together. They couldn't help but laugh to their own actions.
"Nice to finally meet you. I've heard more about you and you are a good friend" said by Charles looking directly at Akwasi.
