Chapter 12 - Wayne Grisham's Birthday Party [II]

Emily put down the cake in her hand, raised her hand and gently wiped the corner of her mouth, then walked towards Sebastian and Rosalie with the red wine glass.

"Mr. Callaway, is this really you? Changing girlfriends again, are we?" Emily crossed her arms across her chest and said with a sarcastic smile.

Hearing that, Sebastian's face flashed with embarrassment, fearing that Rosalie could be thinking something. He said with a serious expression, "Maybe you don't know, Miss Sanders, but Rosalie has always been my girlfriend."

Emily could see that this guy was quite nervous.

After finally currying favor with the director of the Health department's daughter to get a top position in the hospital arranged by her, he was still planning on getting more from her before dumping her.

By that time it would be too late for Rosalie. After all, she, Emily, came from the future and saw what he did to her.

Where else could he find such a good opportunity to carry out his plan if not through Rosalie? He simply didn't want to miss out on this cookie's jar from the Wright family.

How could she, Emily Sanders, not talk about such a disgraceful thing in front of Rosalie? After all, she just wanted to expose all of Sebastian's ugly deeds and see how he could justify himself.

She looked at Sebastian and sneered, "Nope, I don't. Miss Wright is not among the ones I know."

Sebastian chuckled, deliberately hiding the embarrassment on his face, and said with a smile, "You are really getting better and better at joking."

Rosalie didn't say much, but Emily could see that she was already a little suspicious of Sebastian.

She struck while the iron was hot and said jokingly to Rosalie, "Don't mind me, Miss Wright, but I'm not really joking. Mr. Callaway is a lady's guy. I don't know how many girls he used and dumped when we were in college. He was changing girls like he was changing clothes. You better be ready..."

Rosalie frowned, half believing and half doubting, and subconsciously looked up at Sebastian.

This guy was so anxious that he quickly hugged Rosalie and explained, "Rosay, don't listen to her nonsense talk. She's just jealous..."

Emily didn't have time to listen to his words. Anyway, she was kind enough to let Rosalie know about him, and this girl also became suspicious of him so her goal was achieved.

There would be plenty of opportunities in the future to deal with scums like Sebastian.

Emily sat back in an inconspicuous seat, eating and watching the show. At this moment, Sebastian was explaining to Rosalie. She wondered how many lies he made up to the lady.

In a blink of an eye, the dinner had already started for more than half an hour.

The host came on stage and exchanged a few words with everyone, which were nothing more than the same old lines.

After that, the dance was officially announced to begin.

As soon as he finished speaking, the lights in the entire banquet hall dimmed instantly, followed by the sound of music and various musical instruments.

At the center of the hall, pairs of men and women embraced each other and danced to the rhythm of the music. Even Sebastian and Rosalie joined in.

Emily could tell that Rosalie seemed a little unhappy. It must be because of what she just said that she became suspicious of Sebastian.

Seeing this situation, she felt happy in her heart.

Just then, Wayne appeared beside her. He stretched out a hand towards me, pretending to be a gentleman.

"Emily, can I ask you to dance with me?"

Emily didn't get up. She continued sitting, looked at him and answered, "I'm sorry, but I'm not in the mood to dance today."

Such a straightforward rejection would be embarrassing for anyone! Moreover, Wayne was the celebrant today. She could feel the change in his facial expression, resentment and disgust. However, considering the situation today and the presence of reporters from TV stations, he couldn't get angry.

He said nothing and turned away.

Emily sneered as she watched him leave. After all he had done in the past, and would do in the future, he still had the audacity to ask her for a dance? Well, he asked for trouble. So, he deserved it!

After a while, she saw Wayne and Sebastian huddled together, whispering to each other, and she couldn't tell what they were talking about.

When these two people got together, Emily knew nothing good would happen!

A few minutes later, Sebastian left first.

But Emily didn't take this strange behavior seriously.

After the dance, Wayne seemed to have arranged some other activities.

Emily really didn't like this kind of hypocritical occasion, so she wanted to leave halfway. But when she was about to get up and leave, a young man appeared in front of her and blocked her way.

She thought he must be a reporter, so she didn't take it seriously.

The man held up the microphone, looked at her and said loudly, "Excuse me, are you Miss Emily Sanders? I'm a reporter for an entertainment newspaper. I've read your Instagram post, which denounced Aurora Media and its CEO James Lindemann. There are also many controversies about this online. May I ask, what is the relationship between the two of you? Is it true, that you are Mr. Lindemann's side mistress, and because of some conflicts between the two of you, you deliberately retaliated and smeared the name of Aurora Media and Mr. Lindemann himself?"

Hearing the sound, many people in the venue looked towards her, most of them were there to watch the excitement.

In the crowd, Rosalie looked at Emily strangely, as if she had doubts about her character.

On the other side, those two scumbags, Sebastian and Wayne, looked at her as if they were watching a good show, with bad expressions on their faces.

Damn it. Emily knew those two scumbags had bad intentions towards her. They actually plotted against her at a birthday party? Wanted to see her embarrass herself? Not gonna happen.

Faced with the reporter's harsh questioning, Emily appeared extremely calm. She picked up the red wine glass at hand and poured it directly on the reporter's head. "Shut your stupid mouth! The reputation of entertainment journalists is being.ruined by people like you. You disgust me!"

Then she put down her wine glass angrily.

"Hey...what..." The reporter didn't expect that she would pour a glass of red wine on him. He was so angry that he couldn't even speak coherently.

The dark red liquid splashed on the lenses of his glasses and dripped down his cheeks to the floor. His gentle image was instantly destroyed. It was really a horrible sight.

"Get your facts right, you damn fool. Do you think that it's everybody is interested in becoming a whore? Are you asking me such a question because your whole family is being paid off by Aurora Media?"

As soon as she finished speaking, the whole audience burst into applause. Everyone applauded her, admired her fighting spirit and courage, and expressed their support for her.

She shook her hair and looked at Sebastian and Wayne with disdain. "You two are too small to fight with me!"

Their faces immediately turned black.

The reporter who was baptized with red wine and scolded was now furious. He angrily took off the glasses on his nose and yelled at me, "You crazy bitch, you're a whore. You're going around selling your body to the wealthy people just because you think you're beautiful? You shameless bitch."

As expected, he was an entertainment reporter, his mouth reeked of dog shit as soon as he opened it.

"Fuck you too, you piece of shit! Trash like you are not even worthy of my time!" Emily was instantly annoyed and yelled back at him.

That entertainment reporter was not someone to be trifled with. Relying on his masculine advantage, he raised his fist and tried to hit her.

In the golden era of mobile phones? It was a big mistake. Many guests already brought out their phones to record the scene.

Emily was also quick to react and dodged his attack. And just as the security came to restrain him, she took out her phone and pointed the camera at the reporter..

With a click, the evidence was saved on her phone.
