The three of them sat in Riya's room, brainstorming ways to find James. Anna pulled out a map of the surrounding area, spreading it out on the bed.
"Okay, so we know James was last seen heading towards the rival pack's territory," Anna said, tracing the path on the map. "But we don't know where he is now."
Riya nodded. "And we can't just go marching into rival pack territory without a plan."
Georgia frowned. "But we can't just sit around and do nothing either. James could be in real danger."
Anna's eyes narrowed. "I think I have an idea. What if we sneak into rival pack territory and try to gather some information?"
Riya's eyes widened. "That's a crazy idea, Anna."
But Georgia was nodding. "I think it's worth a shot. We can't just sit around and wait for something to happen."
Anna grinned. "That's the spirit, Georgia."
Riya sighed. "Fine. But we need to be careful. If we get caught, it could mean war."
Anna nodded. "I know. But we have to try."
The three of them spent the rest of the day gathering supplies and coming up with a plan. They would sneak into rival pack territory under the cover of darkness, trying to gather as much information as possible about James' whereabouts.
As the sun began to set, they set out, making their way through the forest towards rival pack territory. The air was cool and damp, the trees looming above them like sentinels.
Anna led the way, her senses on high alert as they moved deeper into the forest. She could hear the distant howling of wolves, and she knew they were getting close.
As they approached the edge of rival pack territory, Anna held up a hand, signaling for the others to stop. She peered through the trees, trying to get a glimpse of what lay ahead.
The rival pack's territory was surrounded by a high wall, the gates guarded by two large wolves. Anna's eyes narrowed as she watched them, trying to come up with a plan.
Georgia leaned in close, her voice barely above a whisper. "What's the plan, Anna?"
Anna hesitated, thinking. "I think we should try to create a diversion," she said finally. "Something to draw the guards away from the gate."
Riya nodded. "I think I can help with that."
She slipped away into the darkness, leaving Anna and Georgia to wait. A few minutes later, a loud crash echoed through the forest, followed by the sound of wolves barking.
Anna grinned. "I think that's our cue."
She and Georgia slipped through the trees, making their way towards the gate. The guards were distracted by the commotion, and they didn't even notice the two girls slipping past them.
As they made their way into rival pack territory, Anna felt a thrill of excitement. They were one step closer to finding James, and she was determined to see it through.
But as they moved deeper into the territory, Anna couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched. She glanced around, trying to see if anyone was following them, but there was no one in sight.
She pushed the feeling aside, focusing on the task at hand. They needed to find James, and they needed to do it fast.
As they made their way through the territory, they came across several wolves, but none of them seemed to be paying much attention to the two girls. Anna began to feel a sense of hope, thinking that maybe they would be able to find James without being detected.
But as they turned a corner, Anna's heart sank. Standing in front of them, his eyes narrowed in anger, was the rival pack's alpha.
