The next morning, Anna woke up feeling uneasy. She couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. She looked over at Georgia, who was still fast asleep.
Anna got out of bed and began to get ready for the day. She took a shower, got dressed, and brushed her hair. As she was finishing up, Georgia woke up.
"Good morning," Georgia said, yawning.
"Good morning," Anna replied. "I'm going to go downstairs and see if I can find out what's going on. Want to come with me?"
Georgia nodded, and the two of them headed downstairs.
As they entered the dining hall, they saw Riya and the alpha sitting at the table. They looked like they were in the middle of a serious conversation.
"Good morning," Riya said, smiling at them. "Please, join us."
Anna and Georgia sat down, and Riya poured them each a cup of coffee.
"What's going on?" Anna asked, taking a sip of her coffee.
The alpha leaned back in his chair. "James is still at large. We're doing everything we can to find him, but so far, no luck."
Anna frowned. "I knew he was trouble."
Riya nodded. "We all did. But we have to be careful. James is desperate, and desperate people do desperate things."
The alpha stood up. "I'm going to go check on the guards. Make sure they're all on high alert."
As he left, Riya turned to Anna and Georgia. "I'm going to go check on the other guests. Make sure they're all safe."
Anna nodded. "We'll be fine. Go ahead."
Riya smiled and left, leaving Anna and Georgia alone.
As they sat there, Anna couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. She knew that James was still out there, and she knew that he was capable of anything.
Georgia seemed to sense her unease. "Hey, Anna, it's going to be okay. We'll be fine."
Anna smiled, trying to reassure her. "I know. I just can't shake off the feeling that something is off."
Georgia nodded. "I know what you mean. But we have to stay strong. We can't let James get the best of us."
Anna nodded, feeling a sense of determination. "You're right. We'll get through this, together."
As they sat there, Anna heard a noise coming from outside. It sounded like footsteps, but they were light, like someone was trying not to be heard.
Anna's heart began to beat faster as she realized that someone was sneaking around outside.
She turned to Georgia. "Do you hear that?"
Georgia listened, and then nodded. "Yes, I do."
Anna stood up, her heart racing. "I'm going to go check it out."
Georgia stood up, too. "I'm coming with you."
Together, they crept out of the dining hall, determined to find out who was sneaking around.
As they made their way through the hallways, Anna couldn't shake off the feeling that they were being watched. She kept looking over her shoulder, expecting to see James lurking in the shadows.
But every time, there was no one there.
They reached the front door, and Anna slowly turned the handle. She pushed the door open, and they both slipped outside.
The sun was shining, casting a warm glow over the grounds. But Anna didn't notice the beauty of the day. She was too busy scanning the area, looking for any sign of James.
And then, she saw him. He was hiding behind a tree, his eyes fixed on the house.
Anna's heart skipped a beat as she realized that James had been watching them all along.
She turned to Georgia, her voice barely above a whisper. "It's James. He's hiding behind that tree."
Georgia's eyes widened as she saw James. "What do we do?"
Anna didn't hesitate. "We need to get back inside and warn the others."
As they turned to go back inside, James stepped out from behind the tree. "You're not going anywhere," he snarled.
Anna's heart began to beat faster as she realized that they were trapped.
