Chapter 6 - Have You Eaten Soul's Before

Akira then spoke. "So where are we going?".

Flandre, who is now sitting on Chris's shoulders as she. "We are going to Reimu place to send you back to the human world".

Akira looked at them as he Spoke. "Do I wanna know about who she is".

Chris sighed as he spoke. "Just know that she is someone important".

They kept waking for longer, and after a while, they left the Muezuka as they arrived at the forest area.

Akira looked at him as he spoke. Had he had a question he needed to get off his chest, "You say that Muezuka is the Fast food place for trh Yokai, so um.... Have you eaten anyone before?".

Flandre laughed as she pointed at Chris. "Oh, indeed, he is a hypocrite, you know; out of everyone in this damm place, he has eaten the most soul".

Akira's face dropped as he looked at him. "Wh-what!"

Chris sighed as he spoke. "Don't worry I only eat the souls of bad people, aka Rapist, Murderer, Abuser, Evil Politician, Nazi and so on".

Akira still looked a bit disturbed. "I mean… I get it, but eating souls? That's kinda messed up, man."

Chris shrugged. "Maybe. But it's part of my job here. Think of it like cosmic recycling—bad souls don't get to linger and cause more trouble. They just… become fuel."

Flandre giggled, kicking her legs playfully while sitting on his shoulders. "And he tastes really good after eating a bad soul. It's like he gets all spicy~!"

Akira shuddered. "I didn't need to know that."

Chris smirked. "Welcome to Gensokyo, where the weird never stops."

As they continued walking, Akira glanced at the trees surrounding them. The deeper they went, the more eerie the atmosphere became. Shadows twisted in strange ways, and occasional whispers filled the air.

Akira gulped. "Uh… are we sure this is the right way?"

Chris waved him off. "Relax. The Forest of Magic can be creepy, but we're taking a shortcut."

Akira gave him a sceptical look. "Through a haunted-looking forest?"

Before Chris could reply, a voice called out from the trees. "Oh? What do we have here~?"

A figure emerged, floating in the air. As it was someone Chirs already knew just by the voice

Chris sighed, already knowing who it was. "Great. You again."

Yukari smirked. "Aw, Chris, that's no way to greet a lady. Especially one who does so much for you~."

Akira whispered to Chris. "Who is this?"

Chris groaned. "The local gap hag. Causes more trouble than she's worth."

Yukari pouted. "Rude~! I only ever help." She then turned to Akira, her expression playful yet oddly unsettling. "And you, little lost soul… what an interesting place you ended up in~."

Akira took a step back. "Uh… hi?"

Yukari giggled, covering her mouth with her sleeve. "Such a polite one. I like you. But tell me, Chris, what are you planning to do with him?"

Chris crossed his arms. "We're taking him to Reimu so she can send him back to the human world."

Yukari tapped her chin. "Hmm… I suppose that's the normal way to handle things. But wouldn't it be more fun if he stayed?"

Akira's eyes widened. "Wait, what?"

Chris frowned. "Yukari. Don't start."

Yukari smirked, opening a small gap in the air beside her. "Oh, I'm just saying~. Gensokyo could always use more interesting people."

Akira took another step back. "I'd rather not get eaten, thanks."

Flandre raised her hand excitedly. "Ooh, I could keep him as a pet!"

Akira paled. "WHY IS THAT YOUR FIRST IDEA?!"

Chris sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "We're leaving. Now."

Yukari pouted but waved her hand dismissively. "Fine, fine~. But don't be surprised if he decides to stay after all~."

Akira turned to Chris. "I feel like my life is in danger right now."

Chris chuckled. "Welcome to Gensokyo."

Chris looked at Yukari as he spoke. "So what can I do to get you to leave me?".

Yukari opened a gap, and as she went to, she spoke. "Simple, take me on a date".

Chris raised an eyebrow as he spoke. "Didn't I take one date just 3 days ago?".

Yukari smirked as she peeked back through the gap. "Oh, you did~. But one date isn't enough to satisfy me, Chris. You know that."

Chris sighed. "You do realize I have a job, right? I can't just drop everything whenever you feel like being spoiled."

Yukari giggled. "And yet, you always manage to find time for your other lovers. How unfair~."

Akira, still reeling from everything, whispered to Flandre. "Wait… how many girlfriends does this guy have?"

Flandre grinned mischievously. "Too many to count. And they all fight for his attention~."

Chris ignored them as he crossed his arms. "Alright, fine. But one date, Yukari. No weird tricks, no sudden 'oops, we're stuck in another dimension' nonsense. Just a normal date."

Yukari placed a hand on her cheek, pretending to think. "Hmm… no promises~." With a teasing laugh, she disappeared fully into her gap, leaving only the sound of her voice lingering. "I'll be waiting, darling~!"

Chris exhaled deeply. "That woman is exhausting."

Akira looked at him in disbelief. "Dude. Why do you have so many girlfriends? And why do they all sound insane?"

Chris smirked. "Welcome to my life."

Flandre giggled as she patted his head. "He's just too irresistible~!"

Akira sighed. "I feel like I'm in an anime harem comedy… except half of you can kill me."

Chris clapped his hands. "Alright, enough about my love life. Let's get you to Reimu before something else happens."

With that, the group continued on their way, leaving behind the eerie presence of the Forest of Magic. But even as they walked, Chris had the nagging feeling that Yukari

wouldn't let him off the hook so easily.

After a while, they passed the Scarlet Mansion, to Which Chris said no and ran with Akira; he just wanted this to be over, and Remilia could be with him.

After Arrived at Reimu's house, they heard crashing and then Marisa who was on a broomstick, Golden chains dragged to the ground she saw the one who did was Chris, as she looked at hee boyfriend with betrayal on her face.

Marisa struggled against the golden chains, her broomstick stuck to the ground. She glared at Chris with betrayal in her eyes.

"Chris, what the hell?! Why are ya chaining me up?!" she shouted, thrashing.

Chris sighed, rubbing his temple. "Because the last time I came here, you literally crashed into me and stole something from Reimu."

Marisa huffed, looking away. "Tch. That was one time…"

Flandre giggled from behind Chris. "Nope! It was, like, five times~."

Akira, completely lost, whispered to Flandre. "So… this girl is another one of his girlfriends?"

Flandre smirked. "Yep! And she's a really bad thief, but Chris still likes her."

Chris rolled his eyes and looked at Marisa. "Look, I don't have time for this. I need to talk to Reimu. Can I please let you go without you causing problems?"

Marisa pouted but eventually nodded. "Fiiine."

Chris snapped his fingers, and the golden chains vanished. Marisa stretched before floating beside him. "So, whatcha need with Reimu?"

Chris gestured to Akira. "This guy's soul ended up in Muenzuka by accident. I need her help to send him back."

Marisa blinked, looking at Akira. "Huh. Ain't that rare? Most souls that get here don't go back."

Chris nodded. "Which is why I want to fix it before Yukari or someone else makes it worse."

Marisa grinned. "Heh. Alright, let's go see Reimu."

The group walked toward the shrine, hoping Reimu would be in a reasonable mood.

Reimu came out of the house. As she was holding a frying pan, she looked at Chris and Marisa chained up. "Will that solve my probably, so what brings you here, Cutie~".

Chris sighed, already tired. "Reimu, don't start."

Reimu smirked, resting the frying pan on her shoulder. "Oh? What, I can't greet my favorite troublemaker properly?"

Akira blinked in confusion. "Wait… another girlfriend?"

Flandre giggled. "Yep! Reimu likes playing hard to get, but she's totally into him~."

Chris rubbed his temple. "We're getting off track. Look, Reimu, this guy—" He gestured to Akira. "—ended up in Muenzuka by accident. I need your help to send him back to the human world."

Reimu sighed, twirling the frying pan. "A lost soul, huh? That's rare… but doable." She glanced at Akira. "Got any unfinished business back home?"

Akira nodded quickly. "Yeah! I didn't even realize I died! I still have family and friends!"

Reimu hummed in thought. "Well, if you really weren't supposed to die, I can send you back. But it'll take a bit of energy." She smirked at Chris. "And you know what that means, Cutie~."

Chris groaned. "You're going to make me do something annoying, aren't you?"

Reimu grinned mischievously. "Yep! You owe me a date~."

Marisa burst out laughing. "Pfft! Oh man, first Yukari, now Reimu? Chris, yer doomed."

Chris sighed in defeat. "Fine… but after we handle this."

Reimu chuckled. "Good answer. Now, let's get started."

Akira then spoke looking at him. "So I am not dead am I".

Chris spoke looking at him. "Nope, if you were dead, I would have met you In the forest, which means I either guide you to Heaven to Hell, since you are alive, you're going back to your body, you probably came here because the Border thought you were dead, it happens one in every 200 year's".

Akira sighed in relief. "So basically, I got pulled here by accident?"

Chris nodded. "Yep. The Border isn't perfect—it sometimes makes mistakes. You're just one of the lucky unlucky ones."

Akira shook his head in disbelief. "Man, this whole thing is insane… first, I almost get eaten, then I find out some angel eats bad guys' souls, and now I'm being told I wasn't even supposed to be here? What next, am I secretly a long-lost prince or something?"

Flandre giggled. "Nah, but that would be fun~."

Reimu clapped her hands together. "Alright, enough talking. Let's get this done before the Border screws up again and drops a whole busload of people here."

Chris smirked. "That happened before, didn't it?"

Reimu groaned. "Don't remind me."

She walked over to Akira and tapped his forehead. A faint glow surrounded him as mystical symbols appeared in the air. "Alright, I'm sending you back. Try not to die for real next time, okay?"

Akira nodded rapidly. "Yeah, yeah, got it! And, uh… thanks, everyone. Even you, Chris."

Chris raised an eyebrow. "Why do I feel like that was meant as an insult?"

Before Akira could answer, a bright light enveloped him, and in an instant, he was gone—sent back to the human world.

Reimu stretched. "Whew. That's done." She turned to Chris with a sly grin. "Now… about that date~."

Chris groaned. "You're not letting this go, are you?"

Marisa snickered. "Nope! Have fun, lover boy~."

Flandre then spoke looking at Chris. "If you are here, where is Cassidy".

Chris then spoke. "In the Forest Of Magic, doing my job while I was busy here".

Meanwhile, what they did know, was Cassidy was unsupervised and went to the Human world to get revenge for the souls that came here, her wings turned fire wings as she smirked as she was flying, while yes she couldn't Leave Gensokyo, who is still true, but there is a loophole, she still needs to come back, but she can leave this place for a set amount of time.

Meanwhile, in the human world…

A dark figure soared through the sky, her fiery wings casting an eerie glow over the city below. Cassidy smirked as she scanned the streets, her crimson eyes locking onto a particular building.

A small, rundown apartment complex stood in the middle of a quiet neighborhood. Inside, a man sat on his couch, oblivious to the fact that judgment was coming for him. He had no idea that the souls he had tormented in life had not only found peace in death but had also gained an avenger.

Cassidy descended, her feet barely making a sound as she landed on the rooftop. "Tch… pathetic," she muttered, her voice filled with disdain. "Let's see if you regret what you did when you face someone like me."

She stepped forward, her form flickering like a phantom, and in the blink of an eye, she was inside the man's apartment.

The man barely had time to react before the air turned heavy. The lights flickered, and a chill ran down his spine. He turned, his face pale as he saw a girl standing in his living room, flames dancing around her wings.

"W-Who the hell are you?!" he stammered, stumbling back.

Cassidy grinned, her sharp teeth glinting in the dim light. "Oh, don't act like you don't know. You've sent so many souls to the afterlife—surely you thought they wouldn't just disappear, right?"

The man's breath hitched. "That's… That's not possible! Ghosts aren't real!"

Cassidy chuckled darkly. "Oh, you poor thing. I'm not a ghost. I'm something much worse."

She stepped forward, and the man screamed.

Back in Gensokyo, Chris suddenly felt a chill run down his spine. His instincts flared as he turned to Flandre.

"...We need to find Cassidy. Now."

2 hours Later.

Cassidy returned to Gensokyo as he yawned; he then saw Chris waiting for him. "What's Up".

Chris crossed his arms, his brown eyes narrowing as he stared at Cassidy. "What's up? Oh, I don't know. Maybe the fact that you left Gensokyo and went on a rampage in the human world?"

Cassidy blinked before stretching her arms lazily. "Tch, you make it sound so bad. I was just handling some unfinished business."

Chris sighed, rubbing his temples. "Cass, you know the rules. We don't interfere with the human world unless it's absolutely necessary. What the hell did you do?"

Cassidy smirked, her fiery wings flickering slightly. "Relax, I didn't cause that much chaos. Just… took care of some scumbag who deserved it. Besides, I had a loophole, didn't I?"

Chris groaned. "That's not the point! You left. Do you know how many alarms that probably set off? You think the Youkai, the gods, or even Yukari won't notice?"

Cassidy rolled her eyes. "Yukari won't care unless it affects the balance. And as for the rest? Who gives a damn? It's not like they'll cry over some human trash getting what was coming to him."

Chris stared at her for a long moment before exhaling. "You're lucky I'm the one who found you first."

Cassidy smirked. "Aw, does that mean you were worried about me?"

Chris flicked her forehead, making her yelp. "No, it means next time, you're getting grounded."

Cassidy pouted, rubbing her forehead. "Tch. Whatever, Dad."

Chris sighed. "Come on, let's get back before someone else starts asking questions."
