Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 2

SASHA'S POV.

I gasped as I was jolted awake by the shock of the cold water splashed over my head. After accidentally kicking Noah in the balls, he dragged me and tied me in front of the school pillars as punishment. This might seem absurd to you, and I share the same feeling. But here in the Darkmoon pack, it was pretty normal to see the triplets, especially Noah, acting out when their egos were bruised.

"Wakey-wake," Noah said, holding the empty bucket. "How are you doing, sunshine?"

"I would be better if I was anywhere but here," I said glaring at him.

"Are you ready to apologize for almost ruining my lineage?" he asked.

"I would have a moment ago before you tied me up to this thing?" I said with a clenched jaw.

"Yeah, right... but I was too pissed to listen. Now that I'm better, I just might forgive you," he replied.

I rolled my eyes at his delusion. "Were you dropped on your head as a child?"

"Are you implying that I might have lost some of my brain cells?"

I sighed heavily. "At least now I know you are not completely daft."

"You know, for someone in a completely helpless situation, you sure know how to piss off your boss," he remarked.

I scrunched up my face. "You are not my boss."

"I'm your Alpha, so technically, I'm your boss," he insisted.

"You are so funny, Noah," I paused. "Just yesterday, you were telling me you wanted me back to be your mate, but now I'm tied up to this pillar. You have such a fine way of professing your love."

He rubbed his chin, pondering my words for a moment. "Maybe I was a little harsh on you, sweetheart," he sighed. "But we can leave everything in the past if you agree to live with me."

"I would rather die than come live with you," I hissed.

"Don't you think you are overreacting?" he questioned.

"Me? Overreacting?" I scoffed. "I think you should look at yourself in the mirror; that word perfectly describes you."

"Sasha," he said in a softer tone. "I want you to come stay with us, for your safety."

"Please. You can barely save your people from getting murdered. How can you save me when you have failed your people?" I hissed.

Noah clenched his hands, a vein popping out of his neck. "I will be back when you are in a better mood."

After Noah left, I heard the applause of my second mate, Henry, clapping as he approached with a bright smile.

"You certainly know how to get on my brother's nerves," he remarked while standing in front of me.

I rolled my eyes and hissed, "And you know how to make an entrance,"

He responded with a little bow and a smile, "It comes naturally when you are royalty."

"Are you always this cocky?" I asked.

"No, sweetheart, I'm not, unless, of course, you want my cock," he winked.

"Eww, you are such a pervert," I replied, wrinkling my nose.

"Your sense of humour needs an upgrade," I retorted.

He chuckled, "Well, maybe you are just not ready for my level of wit."

I rolled my eyes, "More like I'm not interested in any level of wit from you."

He leaned in, grinning, "Give it time, you might change your mind."

I scoffed, "Not in a million years."

"If you say so, sweetheart," he beamed. After a pause, he continued, "Just like a guardian angel, I have come to save your ass from my brother's wrath."

"I don't need your help," I answered, shaking my head slightly.

"Really? It sure looks like you do," he said, eying me.

"I don't, so you can leave."

"I don't think you understand. In less than forty-five minutes, students will start trickling into school, and if they see you tied up, you will be the topic for the rest of the week or two."

"Still don't care; it's not like this is going to be the first time." I said with a straight face.

"Don't be unreasonable,"

"Tell that to your brother; if he was not acting up, I would not be here in the first place," I hissed.

"Yeah, and I apologise on his behalf," Henry said. "Now that's cleared, please come stay with us. I promise things are going to get better, and we'll make up for the wrongdoing we did to you in the past."

"You can start now by untying my hands," I said, glancing at my tired hands.

"Do you promise to come with me if I do so?" Henry asked.

"Of course," I replied with a tight smile.

"Okay, Sasha," Henry said and used a pen knife to cut the ropes.

Once the ropes were cut, I rubbed my hands, which were turning red due to the tightness.

"Thank you, Henry," I said, ruffling his hair. "I will be leaving now," I said and started walking away.

"Aren't you coming with me?" Henry asked, raising his hands in the air.

"Nope."

"But you promised."

"First lesson, never trust anyone," I smirked and continued walking.

"Wait!" Henry called out, "Please don't leave," but I simply ignored him.

"I know who you truly are," he yelled out.

I Chuckled, "Of course, Henry, everyone does. I'm Sasha."

"I know you have been sneaking out of your dormitory at night," Henry said, stopping me in my tracks.

"I have been following you for some time now. You haven't been as careful as you think," he confessed.

I swallowed hard, turning to face him, my knees wobbling like jelly.

"Ev...Every ni...night?" I stammered.

"Yes, Sasha, every night," Henry continued. "I always thought you carried a little skeleton in your cupboard, and I was right."

I rubbed my sweaty palms on my dress, the realisation that Henry, of all people, knew about the lives I had taken made me uncomfortable. I am not a demon, I only wanted to avenge my family death. I never killed anyone innocent.

I swallowed hard. "Look, Henry, I can explain," I said with a shaky voice.

"There will be no need. If you want your secret safe with me, you do my bidding," he declared
