Chapter 29: Her Evil Family
Raphael arrived at the upscale restaurant, adjusting the sleeves of his jacket as he stepped inside.
The place was far too extravagant for his liking, but the meeting was necessary.
Camila had requested to see him, and against his better judgment, he agreed.
If nothing else, he needed to know what nonsense she was playing.
He spotted her immediately.
Camila was at the corner table, sipping a glass of red wine, dressed in an elegant but clearly attention-seeking red dress.
She flashed a bright smile as she waved him over.
"Raphael, darling!" she cooed, standing to greet him. "You look as brooding as ever."
He ignored the compliment, pulling out the chair and sitting down. "Camila. Why did you call me here?"
She pouted dramatically. "Is that how you greet a lady? No pleasantries? No 'how are you, Camila'?"
"I don't care how you are," he said flatly, scanning the restaurant for any familiar faces.
