Chapter 4 - Out of the Freezer into the Garden!

In the middle of the night, Jaymir awoke, the chill of the night licked his skin, causing him to shiver. The fire he made had died out causing the cold weather to surround him. The soft white sand, a friendly element, had turned on Jaymir, freezing to the touch and the wind that blew didn't help Jaymir's case. Jaymir rubbed his arms and legs trying to beat back the cold only to finally realise his fire was gone. His eyes widen as he quickly rushes to the campfire with panic.

"No, no, no! not now! It's freezing out here!" his words echoed in the night. Jaymir sighed in annoyance, a grunt and growl escaped his lips. The night reminded him how dangerous it was on this beach, though no enemies were threatening him, however, the elements were. He struggled to find more sticks and stones to try to relight the fire. The cold started to nip at his skin even more, the night was a powerful enemy, almost like the storm he just survived.

Each howl of the wind cast a powerful chilling breeze, that blew right through Jaymir's soul, causing him to shake and shiver against the cold. Though Jaymir was dry his shorts were not which made it harder for him to fight against with unforgiving chill of the night. Even though he was freezing to death Jaymir didn't give up hope, he continued to try to relight the fire. Thankfully with a little bit of elbow grease and a little prayer, a spark ignited in the campfire, causing it to catch the campfire ablaze once again. Jaymir sighed with relief as he finally won only the battle against this war of survival.

However, Jaymir had a new problem. This issue had jolted him awake from a deep slumber. Without a second thought, he started to weave a sack out of seaweed and gathered some sticks, tying them together with seaweed to make a walking stick. While he weaved the seaweed he also kept a close eye on his campfire, making sure it didn't go out again.

Within time the night turned into daylight, casting the sun and its warmth glow on the white sands once again. Yet, Jaymir was tired, he was not just tired from the long night, but he was tired of all the crap on this beach, and its wild surprises. So he gathered his things and put them in the sack he made and tied them to the walking stick he made and walked to the coral-like archway that seemed to lead him out of the beach.

The archway was intertwined with stone, coral, and seashells, while seaweed hung from the archway. In the distance, looking through the archway, stood a forest. The white sand continued out aways into a pathway then turned into a dirt pathway, which continued into a dirt road.

The trees in the forest were thick and giant, towering over the area with their mighty presence. While the trunks were thick and giant, their leaves were white and needly. Jaymir felt the wind but it was a gentle breeze, as the colossus trees blocked the powerful winds. Jaymir continued within the forest, feeling the prickly and needly leaves that were under his feet, they poked and stabbed his feet with every step he took. The leaves did not hurt or harm Jaymir, as they were still fragile and were crushed and broke underneath the weight of Jaymir's feet. However, they were rough.

Despite the leaves of the forest, the sense overwhelmed Jaymir's nostrils, and the sense smelled like honey. With the smell of honey, sounds of crickets, humming of insects, and songs of birds filled the air of the forest.

Jaymir closed his eyes took a deep breath and took in all the sounds and felt the breeze surrounding him. The gritty taste of the dirt and the mental image of tasting the honey that he had smelled, caused his imagation to grow wild. Though he knew he was in a towering forest small plants of flowers and other plants were visible.

However, he left everything alone as he had no clue if they were poisonous or not. Jaymir looked to his left and saw towering trees and a wide open dirt road, he looked to his right and saw the same thing. He looked in front of him rubbed his chin then looked back at the path behind him that led to the coral beach. Jaymir took the left side and continued down the pathway after letting out a heavy sigh of annoyance and said, "The journey starts."
