Jaymir quickly rushed toward the seagull that he just killed, picked it up, and took it to the fire, where he prepared it for his dinner. he de-feathered it and removed the insides of the seagull but made sure that it still had enough meat on it and placed a stick inside it and put it over the fire to roast it. He gathered the insides of the bird and the feathers putting them to the side as if he was planning to use them later for something.
While the seagull was roasting on the fire, Jaymir began to weave something in seaweed. As he continued to weave the seaweed, he watched closely at the flame of the fire, making sure the seagull didn't burn, the sense of roasted meat filled the air causing his stomach to growl uncontrollably. Jaymir moaned in annoyance while rolling his eyes and taking a deep breath before saying, "Just wait for a little more, Jaymir, I know you're hungry."
The sound of the seagull sizzling in the fire, the sight of the meat that turning color, and the juices of the seagull hitting the flames, causing the fire to spark made Jaymir's mouth water. However, he knew he had to wait a little more, as cooking a decent meal was just one of his skills. he continued to weave the seaweed, as he patiently waited for the seagull to cook.
The night covers the sky like a cozy blanket with the stars salting the sky, like seasoning in a meal, while the moon illuminates the sky in a peaceful glow, as Jaymir finally puts down the seaweed he was weaving and attends to the seagull that was roasting in the fire. What Jaymir didn't realize, was the ocean's salt seasoning the seagull for him, and when he took a bite, his teeth sent out juices and his mouth began to water, and he groaned in pleasure at the taste of the bird. The taste was like chicken, but the juices with the salt of the ocean added a balance of sweetness and bitterness.
Jaymir continued to eat his meal, while still hearing some of the seagulls flying around, besides the seagulls out in the night sky, Jaymir was not alone. The wind started to chill, causing Jaymir's skin to shiver and show goosebumps. Sounds of stones scraped against each other, indicating Jaymir was truly not alone on this beach during the night. Jaymir licked his fingers still trying to enjoy his meal but also gathering a stick and putting it in the fire to make a source of light. The stick burned brightly showing Jaymir's expression of worry and fear as his eyes widened, trying to see what was by him, though he saw nothing.
The sounds of the stones scrapping continued and got closer to him, but still, Jaymir saw nothing when he shined the light source toward the noise. However, Jaymir prepared himself as he gripped the knife he made, knowing and realizing he was not alone, though he couldn't see anything or anyone. Suddenly, Jaymir realized the seagulls had gone silent and it was just the crackling of his campfire followed by the scraping of the stones.
Finally, within the light of his campfire, he realized why he didn't see anything when he looked with his torch and realized what the scraping of the stones was. What he saw, was a giant crab that had coral on its back. The Crab was going after the inners of the seagull that Jaymir had for his meal. Jaymir had never seen a creature like this or a creature this big before. The crab's pinchers or claws we huge, as if it could easily break a stone or kill one of the seagulls. Its legs were also huge as he was carrying a huge shell with coral on the back of the crab.
Though it wasn't the stones scrapping on each other, it was the crab making noise. Jaymir was kinda intimidated by the crab and gave the crab the leftovers of the seagull but he kept the feathers and continued to weave the seaweed that started to look like a poncho. He continued to weave his poncho but also watched the crab take the leftovers of the seagull and eat it.
When the crab finished its meal it went back into the ocean, where Jaymir never saw it again. The night air was starting to get colder, yet Jaymir had just finished weaving the poncho and he put it over him to try to keep him warm, his eyes started to wear down, and tiredness began to sneak within Jaymir. Jaymir closed his eyes and began to sleep through the night.
