Chapter 4 - Scarlet Vampire

Chris looked at Remilia as he spoke. "So how did it feel to lose to be, back to back?".

Remilia chuckled as her red eyes glowed. "Oh, I was holding back; I didn't want to hurt you so much, that is".

Chris looked at her as he rolled his eyes. "Figures, anyway I will be going now".

Then he felt a bite on his neck; as he saw her drinking something, Remilia let out kinda a sexual Moan as she spoke. "Your blood tastes so good"

Chris blinked, not knowing what that sound was. "Thanks? I didn't even know I had blood?".

Remilia pulled away, her crimson eyes gleaming with mischief. She wiped her lips delicately with her finger, savoring the taste. "Oh, you certainly do have blood. Though I can't say I expected it to be quite so... delicious."

Chris raised an eyebrow, his neck still tingling from her bite. "Well, that was unexpected. I think I prefer my neck unmolested next time."

Remilia laughed lightly, clearly amused by his reaction. "You're not the first person to be a little shocked by that, but I do enjoy the taste of a strong bloodline."

Chris rubbed his neck, still processing what just happened. "Yeah, well, I didn't exactly sign up for this. Maybe next time you can just offer me tea like a normal person."

Cassidy, who had been standing quietly off to the side, raised an eyebrow at the exchange. "What's next, Remilia? You planning to nibble on Chris every time you meet him?"

Remilia gave Cassidy a playful look. "Don't be jealous now. It's not every day I get such a tasty snack."

Chris smirked, already starting to walk away. "Yeah, well, consider that a one-time thing... unless you want to get knocked down again."

Remilia's eyes narrowed slightly, but there was still a playful undertone in her voice. "Perhaps... but if you keep tempting me, you might just find that I'm not so easy to get rid of."

Chris sighed, waving a hand dismissively as he continued toward the exit of the mansion. "You're something else, Remilia. I'll be going now. See you around, maybe."

As Chris and Cassidy made their way toward the door, Remilia called out behind them, her voice dripping with amusement. "Don't take too long next time, Chris. After all, you still owe me a proper challenge."

Cassidy rolled her eyes, muttering under her breath. "That's going to be a fun ride."

Chris smiled a little at her remark, though he wasn't quite sure what the future held with Remilia. He could only hope that it wouldn't involve too much bloodshed—or weird bites.

And with that, they stepped out into the night, the door to the Scarlet Devil Mansion closing behind them with a faint creak.

Chris then spoke. "Now that I am here, why not visit my other two lovers".

Cassidy sighed as she spoke in her mind. "How the hell did he get so many girlfriends".

Then she saw him disappear as she walked, the world went grey, and Cassidy wanted to scream before she was frozen in time.

Meanwhile in the Garden, Sakuya is not affected by the time stop, because people with times stopping power can't be affected by them, she didn't see anything as she started to take care garden, as she felt a finger getting traced on her neck as she jumped away and throws Knife at who was doing it, only too have no one there, as her eyes get closed as she finally released who was it.

Sakuya held the hand as she spoke with a smile on her face, "You know, Chris, you should stop giving me a heart attack".

Chris spoke, looking at her as he came in front of her and kissed her on the cheek. "What, can I not come to visit my lovers in the scarlet Mansion".

Sakuya raised an eyebrow at Chris, her calm demeanor betraying a slight blush as she felt his kiss. "You certainly have a habit of surprising me, Chris," she said, her voice soft but tinged with amusement. "But I must admit, I'm starting to wonder what exactly you're up to this time."

Chris smirked and leaned against a nearby pillar in the garden. "Nothing too devious, I promise. Just wanted to drop by and check on my lovely ladies."

Sakuya's expression softened as she placed her hands behind her back, gracefully walking a few steps closer to him. "I'm sure that's not the only reason you're here."

Chris chuckled and met her gaze. "Maybe not. But for now, I'll leave the mystery for another time."

Sakuya gave him a knowing look, her eyes narrowing slightly as she folded her arms. "You always manage to keep things interesting. But I'd rather not have my heart skipping a beat again, so please, do try to be a bit less... dramatic next time."

Chris raised his hands in mock surrender. "I'll try my best, but I make no promises. You know how unpredictable things can get around here."

Sakuya sighed, shaking her head but smiling nonetheless. "You're impossible, you know that?"

As they continued their conversation, Cassidy, still frozen in time, silently seethed. But as Chris and Sakuya enjoyed their lighthearted exchange, it wasn't long before Cassidy's moment of immobility passed. Time returned to normal, and she immediately stepped forward, glaring at Chris.

"You're lucky I don't actually have a heart attack from you just disappearing like that," Cassidy snapped, her voice tinged with frustration.

Chris turned his head, grinning sheepishly as he raised a hand in mock apology. "Hey, I'm just trying to keep everyone on their toes."

Sakuya couldn't help but smile at the interaction. "It seems even with your time manipulation, you've managed to find yourself in quite a mess, Chris."

Chris looked at Cassidy and shrugged. "What can I say? Life's more fun when it's chaotic."

Cassidy crossed her arms and smirked. "Fun for you, maybe. You've got to stop dragging everyone else into your madness."

Sakuya raised a finger as if she had just thought of something. "Now, now, let's not blame Chris too much. After all, it's not every day that someone can just walk in here and be the center of so much attention."

Chris chuckled. "Exactly. And who could resist? I've got all the best girls in the best places."

Cassidy rolled her eyes. "That ego of yours is going to be the death of you one day."

Sakuya smiled, shaking her head. "As long as it's not today, I suppose. But do try not to get into too much trouble. I do have my hands full with the garden, after all."

Chris grinned, his eyes glinting with mischief. "Don't worry, I've got this all under control."

As Chris made himself comfortable in the mansion, it seemed like the chaos would never end. But for now, he was content to simply enjoy the moment—surrounded by those he held close, the chaos just a part of the fun.

"Chris!".

They heard someone shouting his name as Yellow Blur passed by the girl and hugged him. It almost made Chris stumble and fall, but he then used his wings to stabilise himself, and the girl started to kiss him on the cheeks, happy to see him.

As Chris looked at the girl, she had red eyes and short blonde hair, which was tied into a single ponytail on her left side. She wears a red skirt and vest, with a white shirt underneath. She also wears a white mob cap with a red ribbon attached.

[Insert Image of Flandre]

Chris blinked in surprise as he felt the sudden embrace, almost losing his balance but catching himself with his wings. He looked down to see the girl who had hugged him. Her blonde hair and red eyes were unmistakable—Flandre Scarlet, Remilia's younger sister. He couldn't help but chuckle at the enthusiastic greeting.

"Flandre," Chris said with a grin, "It's been a while. You sure have a lot of energy."

Flandre pulled back, still smiling brightly as she gave him a quick peck on the cheek. "I missed you, Chris!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with pure excitement. "You always make everything more fun around here!"

Cassidy then started to remove Flandre. "Ok, that is enough; you can't keep doing that every single time he comes here".

Flandre, holding on to Chris, made a scratching sound as she spoke. "No! Stop cock blocking me you cock blockers"

Sakuya looked at Chris as she spoke. "She still does that, I thought she grew out of it"

Chris chuckled, trying to maintain his balance as Flandre clung to him. "It's fine, Cassidy. Let her have her fun," he said, giving Flandre a playful pat on the head.

Cassidy huffed, crossing her arms. "You really know how to encourage this, don't you?" she muttered, though there was a hint of amusement in her tone.

Flandre smirked, finally releasing Chris but keeping her hands firmly on his arms. "Of course! What's wrong with a little affection?" she said, her red eyes gleaming with mischief.

Sakuya sighed, her usual calm demeanor barely slipping as she observed the scene. "She hasn't changed much, has she?" she remarked, her voice carrying an air of fond exasperation.

Chris grinned, enjoying the lively atmosphere that surrounded him. "Not at all. I think Flandre's enthusiasm is part of her charm," he said, winking at the younger Scarlet sister.

Flandre beamed at the compliment, her cheeks flushed with happiness. "See, Chris gets it!" She turned to Cassidy, sticking her tongue out playfully. "Maybe you need to be more fun like him!"

Cassidy rolled her eyes and stepped back slightly. "I am fun, just... not in the same way," she replied, though her voice softened slightly.

Sakuya raised an eyebrow at Chris, her tone teasing. "You certainly seem to be at the center of attention wherever you go. How do you manage to keep up with all this?"

Chris shrugged, his wings flicking casually. "I've gotten used to it. Besides, it's never boring around here."

Flandre twirled in place, her energy infectious. "You should stay longer this time, Chris! I promise I won't hug you so much... maybe." She winked playfully.

Chris laughed. "I'll try not to tempt you too much, but I can't make any promises either."

As the lighthearted banter continued, Cassidy shook her head but couldn't hide the small smile on her face. "I just hope you don't get into any more trouble while you're here."

"Trouble? Me?" Chris raised his hands in mock innocence. "I'm just here for a good time."

Sakuya folded her arms and smiled softly, her gaze flickering between Chris and the others. "A good time indeed. But I suppose, as long as there's no actual trouble, I can't complain."

With that, Chris leaned back slightly, enjoying the comfortable chaos of being surrounded by his friends—each with their quirks, all adding their own unique touch to the atmosphere. Despite the oddities of the moment, there was no denying that, in this strange world, it was a place where he truly belonged.

Later in the Scarlet Mansion Chris was having tea with Remilia. "And that was my day".

Remilia laughed as she looked at him. "So let me get this straight, the reason why there are so many new lost souls in Gensokyo, and making your job harder is because of Yukari wanted you too give her more attention, bahahhahha".

Chris sighed, setting his tea down as he rubbed his temples. "Yes, that's about the gist of it," he replied dryly. "Yukari has a habit of being... creative when it comes to getting my attention."

Remilia chuckled, her red eyes sparkling with amusement. "And here I thought I was the most troublesome one." She leaned back in her chair, her wings gently fluttering as she smirked at him. "Though, I must admit, her method was rather... effective."

Chris gave her a flat look. "I wouldn't call making my job harder effective. She basically opened a portal and let random souls float in like it's a free-for-all."

Remilia's grin widened. "That does sound like something she'd do. She's always so... unpredictable." She took a delicate sip from her tea, looking thoughtful. "Though I suppose you should be grateful. It sounds like she just wanted to make you busier, not truly cause harm."

Chris raised an eyebrow. "Grateful for more work? I thought you vampires didn't enjoy being that involved in other people's problems."

Remilia's smirk softened into a knowing smile. "Oh, I don't, but watching you run around after Yukari's whims does have its entertainment value."

Chris leaned back in his chair with a sigh, letting his wings relax. "I need a break. Just one day of peace without any new problems popping up."

Remilia tilted her head, her eyes narrowing slightly with a teasing gleam. "A break, hm? How about you take that day of peace by spending it with me? I promise I won't cause too much trouble," she said with an exaggerated wink.

Chris couldn't help but grin at her attempt. "You're right, I probably could use some downtime... and you're definitely the better company compared to dealing with random souls and portals."

Remilia leaned forward, her smile growing sweeter as she looked at him. "That's what I like to hear. Perhaps we should make the most of your... break." She set her tea cup down and playfully rested her chin on her hand, watching him intently.

Chris raised an eyebrow, a smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "Maybe just a little peace, then. For now."

Chris got as he looked at her. "Just took clarify, we are not fucking, not today that is."

Remilia sighed with a disappointed look. "Damm it, I was hoping for some 'Fun' out side of our battles"

Chris chuckled, shaking his head as he stood up and stretched. "You always have that look in your eyes whenever we're alone, don't you?" he teased. "But today isn't the day, Remilia. I'm still dealing with... other things."

Remilia pouted dramatically, crossing her arms over her chest. "Always so serious, Chris," she muttered, but there was a playful tone in her voice. "It's just that you're so... interesting." She leaned back in her chair, her eyes glowing with amusement. "And besides, someone has to keep you entertained."

Chris rolled his eyes. "I don't need anyone to entertain me, thank you. But... I do appreciate the company. You're one of the few people here who doesn't give me a headache."

She flashed him a mischievous grin. "Oh, you flatter me."

Chris gave her a knowing smile. "You're not fooling anyone, Remilia. I know exactly what you want."

Her grin only widened. "And I'll keep trying until you finally give in." She leaned back in her seat, tapping her fingers lightly on the table. "But for now, I'll take the company. You can't be too busy for that, right?"

Chris took a deep breath, walking towards the door. "No promises, but I'll see you around."

Before he left, Remilia called out, her voice playful. "You'll miss me when you're gone, Chris!"

He turned back, giving her a smirk. "I'm sure I will."

Meanwhile, Cassidy, who had Introduced the room, when Chris said the word "Fuck", didn't decide to hear the rest of the conversation as she went to Sakuya.

Cassidy looked at her as she spoke. "I need you to erase 12 seconds of my Memory".

Sakuya, who had been quietly arranging the teacups on a nearby table, glanced at Cassidy with a raised eyebrow. "12 seconds?" she asked, her voice calm but curious. "Are you sure that's all?"

Cassidy nodded, her expression serious but somewhat embarrassed. "Yes, just 12 seconds. I don't want to remember anything that happened just now."

Sakuya sighed softly, a faint smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "I see. Is it about Chris again?" she asked, with a knowing glance.

Cassidy blinked, surprised at how perceptive Sakuya could be. "I... well, yes. But it's not what you're thinking." She sighed. "I just... need some space from certain things."

Without waiting for any further explanation, Sakuya placed her hands together, a soft blue glow enveloping them. "Very well. Please relax for a moment."

Cassidy closed her eyes as the gentle magic enveloped her. The sensation was subtle, like a soft breeze brushing against her mind. A moment later, Sakuya gently touched her forehead, and with that, Cassidy felt the 12 seconds of memory slip away. When she opened her eyes, there was a faint sense of relief, as though a small weight had been lifted.

"All done," Sakuya said softly, her gaze kind. "If you need anything else, you know where to find me."

Cassidy nodded, grateful. "Thanks, Sakuya. I think I needed that." She let out a quiet breath, feeling much lighter. "I'll be fine now."

As Cassidy left the room, Sakuya couldn't help but watch her go, a small smirk forming on her face. "The complexities of love... always an interesting topic," she mused quietly to herself, returning to her duties with a thoughtful expression.
