I sat on the edge of Letty's bed, arms crossed as I watched my friend fling dresses onto the bed in search of the perfect outfit as usual. Pulling outfit after outfit from her closet, Letty barely paused to see my reaction to her choices.
"This one?" Letty held up a sleek black dress with an off-shoulder neckline.
I barely spared it a glance. "That's too formal."
Letty rolled her eyes. "Okay, fine. How about this?" She twirled, holding a bright red mini dress against herself with a large smile plastered on her face.
"Too much. I'm not walking down a runway, girl," I replied flatly.
"Ugh, Lily, come on," Letty huffed, tossing the dress aside in frustration. "We're going out! Dinner is supposed to be fun, and you should look your best. We'll need pictures, you know. At least pretend to care about what you wear."
"I'm going, am I not? There's no need to do too much."
